My experience, education and path in life.
About Eddie
My formal name is Edward, but you can call me Eddie. My path as a personal trainer and movement enthusiast started as many of us do with youth sports. After playing sports through high school I continued my interest in movement and sports to college by studying Kinesiology (the scientific study of human movement and performance) and working as an student athletic trainer for the University Of Maryland Football Team.
After college I transitioned to personal training at a small private studio gym in Washington D.C., where I still occasionally make guest appearances. I found working one-on-one to be my prefered way to deploy my movement knowledge and interests as a trainer at the same time developing relationships.
During the pandemic many trainers (including myself) continued to work with clients online via one-on-one video calls and thus a new, creative, efficient way to train was created.
Experience
I hold a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland. I attend workshops for continuing education and voraciously read literature from leaders in health and wellness such as Dr. Perry Nickleson (his company known as “Stop Chasing Pain”), Dr. Peter Attia (recent book “Outlive, The Science and Art of Longevity”) and Dr. Kelly Starrett (book “Becoming a Supple Leopard”). I am adept at learning about conditions my clients present with and learning to work specifically with those issues.
